Relic Scout ("Relic Scout," "we," "our," or "us") is a product of Cosmic Rocket Labs. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you use the Relic Scout mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using Relic Scout, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. About Relic Scout

Relic Scout is an educational and collection management platform that helps users identify, catalog, organize, research, and estimate information about antiques, collectibles, vintage items, memorabilia, and historical objects. All information provided through the Service is for informational and educational purposes only. Relic Scout does not provide professional appraisals, financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, or authentication services.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:

• Name or display name
• Email address
• Username
• Account credentials
• Profile information
• Customer support requests
• Survey responses
• Feedback submissions
• Collection notes
• Item descriptions entered by users

Collection and Inventory Information

To provide collection management services, we may collect:

• Photos uploaded by users
• Images captured through the camera
• Collection inventory records
• Saved items
• Item descriptions
• Notes and observations
• Purchase information voluntarily entered
• Estimated values
• Historical tracking information
• Collection categories and tags

Location Information

When you use Relic Scout's map features to save or view collecting locations ("spots"), we collect precise (GPS-level) location data with your permission, so that spot markers can be placed accurately on the map. This is more specific than a general geographic region — it is the exact coordinates of the location you save. You can decline location permission or revoke it at any time in your device settings; declining will limit or disable map-related features but will not affect the rest of the Service.

Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect:

• Device type and identifiers
• Operating system version
• App version
• IP address
• General geographic region (derived from IP address, distinct from the precise location described above)
• Language preferences
• Usage activity and session information
• Crash reports, diagnostic information, and performance metrics, where such tools are enabled

3. Camera and Photo Permissions

Relic Scout may request access to your device camera and photo library to allow you to photograph collectibles, upload item images, create inventory records, receive identification assistance, and store collection records. Uploaded images are used to provide Service functionality, including being sent to a third-party AI provider for identification and appraisal assistance (see Section 5). Users may revoke permissions at any time through their device settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage user accounts
• Identify collectibles and antiques
• Maintain collection inventories
• Generate item information and estimated market insights
• Save collection records
• Improve identification accuracy
• Personalize user experiences
• Provide customer support
• Improve app performance
• Detect fraud and abuse and protect platform security
• Comply with legal obligations

5. AI and Identification Services

Relic Scout uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, image recognition, and database matching technologies to assist in identifying collectibles and antiques. To generate an identification or appraisal, photos you submit are transmitted to a third-party AI service provider (currently Anthropic) for processing. These providers process the images solely to return identification and appraisal results to Relic Scout and do not use your images to serve you advertising.

Identification results, rarity assessments, and estimated values are generated using available data sources and automated technologies. Results are estimates only and should not be relied upon as professional appraisals, authentication certificates, or investment advice. Users are encouraged to seek qualified professional appraisals for significant financial decisions.

6. Market Values and Pricing Information

Any values, estimates, rarity scores, market trends, or pricing information provided through Relic Scout are estimates based on available information and market data. Actual values may differ significantly due to condition, provenance, authenticity, market demand, geographic location, auction results, and buyer preferences. Relic Scout makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy or future value of any item.

7. Community and Public Content

Certain content you submit is visible to other users of the Service — this currently includes map spots and any associated notes or tips you choose to share on the Map feature. Do not include personal or sensitive information in content you intend to be visible to others. Your account profile information (such as name or display name) is not shared with other users except where it necessarily accompanies content you've chosen to share publicly (for example, as the author of a map spot). Your private collection inventory, item photos, and personal notes are not visible to other users unless you explicitly share them.

8. Analytics and Performance Monitoring

We may use analytics and monitoring services to understand how users interact with the Service. Where such tools are active, information collected may include feature usage, session duration, device information, error reports, navigation activity, and performance data. This information is used to improve functionality, reliability, and user experience. As of the effective date of this policy, Relic Scout does not have a third-party analytics SDK integrated into the app; this section is retained to describe our practices should we enable such tools in the future, and this policy will be updated if that changes.

9. Subscription Services

Relic Scout may offer optional subscription plans. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not collect or store full payment card information. Billing, subscription management, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the respective platform provider. We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform, to track entitlements and purchase history associated with your account (identified to RevenueCat by an internal user ID, not your name or email).

10. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers that assist with:

• Cloud hosting and data storage (Supabase)
• AI-based image identification and appraisal (Anthropic)
• Subscription and entitlement management (RevenueCat)
• Authentication, including Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In
• Maps and location services (Google Maps)
• Customer support
• Security monitoring
• Payment processing (Apple App Store, Google Play Store)

Service providers may access information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf, and are contractually or by policy restricted from using your information for their own independent purposes.

11. Legal Disclosures

We may disclose information when necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, enforce agreements, investigate fraud, or protect user safety.

12. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security. Users acknowledge the inherent risks associated with internet-based services.

13. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain user accounts, preserve collection records, fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, it will be deleted, anonymized, or securely destroyed. See Section 18 for how to request deletion of your account and associated data.

14. Children's Privacy

Relic Scout is not directed to children under the age of 13, and by using the Service you represent that you are at least 13 years old (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information may contact us at cosmicrocketlabs@gmail.com.

15. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, request a copy of your data, restrict certain processing activities, or withdraw consent where permitted. Requests may be submitted using the contact information in Section 20.

16. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

• Right to Know — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, and the categories of sources, purposes, and third parties involved.
• Right to Delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — Relic Scout does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
• Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — where applicable; note that precise geolocation, described in Section 2, may be considered sensitive personal information under California law, and we use it only to provide map functionality you have requested.
• Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at cosmicrocketlabs@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

17. Other State Privacy Laws

Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (including but not limited to Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and port their personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. 18. Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account and personal information by contacting cosmicrocketlabs@gmail.com with subject line "Relic Scout Account Deletion Request." Deletion requests may require identity verification. Upon verification, we will process requests within a reasonable timeframe (generally within 30 days) unless retention is required by law.

19. International Users

If you access Relic Scout from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers where permitted by law.

20. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

Welcome to Relic Scout, a product of Cosmic Rocket Labs ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using Relic Scout ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Relic Scout. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Service Description

Relic Scout is a tool that helps users identify, catalog, organize, research, and estimate information regarding antiques, collectibles, memorabilia, vintage items, historical artifacts, and other collectible objects. Relic Scout provides educational and informational content only. The Service does not provide professional appraisals, authentication certificates, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, or financial advice.

3. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Maintain account security
• Keep login credentials confidential
• Notify us of unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity associated with your account.

4. User Content

Users may upload photographs, collection records, notes, descriptions, and inventory information ("User Content"). You retain ownership of User Content you upload. By uploading User Content, you grant Relic Scout a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, process, and use such content solely for operating, providing, and improving the Service, including submitting item photos to third-party AI providers for identification and appraisal purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

Some User Content — including map spots and associated notes you choose to share — is visible to other users of the Service. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, or that discloses another person's private information.

5. AI Identification and Estimates

Relic Scout uses artificial intelligence and image recognition technologies to assist in identifying items. All identifications, rarity ratings, market values, historical information, and recommendations are estimates only. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You agree not to rely solely on Relic Scout for:

• Buying or selling decisions
• Insurance valuations
• Tax reporting
• Estate planning
• Investment decisions
• Authentication decisions

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

• Upload illegal content
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Attempt unauthorized access
• Distribute malware
• Interfere with Service operation
• Use the Service for fraudulent activity
• Misrepresent ownership of items
• Upload content that harasses, defames, or invades the privacy of others

7. Subscription Services

Certain features require a paid subscription ("Relic Scout Pro"), offered on a monthly or annual basis. The following terms apply to all auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• Where a free trial is offered, it is available only to eligible users as determined by Apple, and eligibility is not guaranteed.

Refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's respective refund policies; we do not directly process refunds for App Store or Play Store purchases.

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are governed by equivalent Google Play subscription terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, graphics, content, databases, designs, and proprietary technology are owned by Cosmic Rocket Labs unless otherwise stated. Users may not reproduce or distribute Service content without permission.

9. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us at cosmicrocketlabs@gmail.com with a description of the work, the allegedly infringing material, and your contact information, and we will investigate in accordance with applicable law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, availability, reliability, completeness, market value estimates, or item identification results, and disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cosmic Rocket Labs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from use of the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cosmic Rocket Labs from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country to be specified by Cosmic Rocket Labs], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. 15. Terms of Use (Apple EULA)

If you download Relic Scout from the Apple App Store, your use is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA regarding Apple's role as a third-party beneficiary, Apple's EULA controls.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
